Caitlin Harlow Huggins, 42

Caitlin Harlow Huggins peacefully passed away October 17, 2025, aided by hospice, and surrounded by her loving family. Caitlin was born in Williamsburg, VA and raised, along with her sister, Audra Harlow Noah, by her loving parents, John and June Harlow. She is survived by her parents, her sister, her husband, Mike Huggins, and her two wonderful children, Jackson and Mackenzie Huggins.

Caitlin had an early passion for horseback riding, competing in 4H competitions on the Virginia Peninsula. After graduating Lafayette High School, she pursued a career as an esthetician. Soon her life was blessed with arrival of beautiful baby boy, Jackson Huggins. Not long after, she met the love of her life and eventual husband, Mike Huggins. Soon, Mackenzie Huggins, a beautiful baby girl, arrived and completed their wonderful family. It wasn’t long before they were planning a move from Chesapeake, VA to the Midwest to build a life together. In Valentine, NE, she found her new home where so many members of Mike’s family and friends welcomed and loved her as one of their own.

For a time, Caitlin achieved what many would call the American dream. In the peaceful, Midwest town of Valentine, NE, she guided and protected her family. This beautiful time and her life have come to an end. She was just 42.

Caitlin was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a fierce protector of her children. She was blessed with a playful and sarcastic sense of humor. She found a place and purpose working for the White Buffalo Calf Woman's Society, providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She enjoyed painting, collecting crystals, days on the lake, and, of course, spending time with her family.

Her two children were the joy of her life. With Mike by her side, she loved watching Jack and Mackenzie grow through school, softball, wrestling, volleyball, football, track, basketball, and many family gatherings, and traditions.

A memorial service was held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Valentine Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. A private family graveside service was held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine.
