Doris Adella Sharp Sims, 94

Doris Adella Sharp Sims passed away May 9, 2025, in Sierra Vista, AZ, at the age of 94.

Doris was born June 4, 1930, to Charles Franklin Sharp and Mary Leona Lawrence Sharp on the family farm in Keya Paha County, NE.

She attended Shadley Creek grade school in Keya Paha County and Valentine High School.

She married James E. Sims June 16, 1948. Doris had a variety of careers in her 94 years: mother, interior decorator, substance abuse counselor, legal assistant, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and most importantly, our Garden Fairy. She loved gardening, dancing, and her family.

She was a member of the dance group and participated in the annual Our Lady of the Mountain variety show. Our Lady of the Mountain parish was very important to her. For many years, she was a lector, altar server, and the parish Prayer Garden representative. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Leonard; sister, Phylis. She is survived by her sons; daughters-in-law, Mike and Sherry Foster Sims, and John and Melody Roos Sims; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be May 24, 2025, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of the Mountain in Sierra Vista, AZ 85635
