Frank Hill, 77 of Cozad, NE passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Frank was born on July 27, 1948 near Kilgore, NE to Grover and Cena Hill. Frank was the seventh of eight children. He had one sister and six brothers.
Frank attended a one room country school south of Kilgore, NE, kindergarten through eighth grade. One of those years his mother filled in as his teacher. He attended Kilgore High School through his junior year and then attended and graduated from Valentine High School his senior year.
Frank went on to a business school in Grand Island and graduated with a computer programming degree. He worked several different jobs in various cities and then went to Denver, CO to work for Western Electric as a programmer. There he met his wife Ginger Myers. They were married in 1973. They lived in Denver for a year and then purchased a dairy farm and moved to Park Rapids, MN. They lived in MN until 1979 when they purchased a ranch South of Kilgore, NE on the Niobrara River. They raised their four children on the ranch and then moved to Valentine where Frank built several homes and owned and managed rental properties. From there they moved north of Cozad, NE, one mile from his daughter and her family, where he built his final home.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Cena Hill; in-laws, Dale and Wanda Myers; son, Troy Hill; brother, Don Hill, Jerry Hill; sister-in-law, Debbie Hill; andbrother-in-law, George Kitzberger.
Frank is survived by sons Corey (Audra) Hill of Park Rapids, MN, and Ty Hill of Cozad, NE; daughter, Taunya (Jay) Hill Chytka of Cozad, NE; grandchildren, Danielle, (Cody); great granddaughter, Lucy, Paige (Andrew), Payton, Tristan (Sydney), Eli, Tayler, Cash, Cord, Taryn, Coy, Mattie; great granddaughter Lily; sister Pauline Kitzberger of Cleveland, OH; brothers Lawrence (Barb) Hill of Alliance, NE, Doug (Linda) Hill of Douglas, WY; sister-in-law, Yvonne Hill of Scottsbluff, NE, and many loved nieces and nephews. Frank was a jack of all trades. He was a computer programmer, banker, rancher, and carpenter. He was self-employed most of his life and passed on an amazing work ethic and sense of independence to his children. He was a wonderful husband and father and a source of strength for those close to him. He dearly loved his family and grandchildren and would always light up when they were around. He loved playing cards, spending time with family, ice fishing, all sports, and gardening. He was always busy doing something. A man of many talents, he could build or fix anything, with his homemade hardware store. He loved working with his hands and when he could no longer work on the bigger projects, started doing more woodworking. He made beautiful tables, clocks and cribbage boards out of cedar off the Niobrara River.
For all that new Frank they knew a hardworking, honest, loyal man. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held September 27, 2025 at 42150 Rd 769, Cozad, NE at 12:00 p.m. CST. Lunch will be served.
