JanisJeanMarshallpassedaway June 11, 2025 at Sandhills Care Center. Janis was born July 21, 1937, in Mullen, NE to Jack and Nadyne Carlson. Janis married Don on February 14,1956. They moved from Mullen to the Metz Ranch in Cody in 1969. In 1994 they moved to town.
Janis was a devoted wife and mother. Her grandkids were her pride and joy.
A really close second was her love of sports, Larry Bird, March Madness, and anything Huskers.
WhensheandDonmovedtotown she became a loyal member of the Farkle gang.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Nadyne Carlson; husband, Don Marshall; and sister, Sandra Long.
Janis is survived by children, Taylor (Paula), James (Kathy), Duane (Dana), and Holly (Matt) Fay. As well as 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Janis Marshall will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. MST at the White Elephant Hall in Cody.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. MST at the Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen.
Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in Valentine was entrusted with the service arrangements.
