Margaret Helen Schiffern 77 of Wahoo entered into rest Saturday November 9, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was born alongside her twin sister Martha on August 27, 1947, to Charlie and Gladys (Morrow) Schiffern in Valentine. She grew up in the Sparks-Norden community and attended classes at Shadley Creek School.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Valentine and Bethlehem Lutheran in Wahoo. She worked at the Presbyterian Church and the dental clinic in Valentine and delivered the Omaha World Herald with her twin sister Martha for many years in Valentine. She enjoyed spending time with family, going on car rides, playing bingo and cards, having lunch with her friends at the Wahoo Senior Center, running and bowling with her Special Olympics team, and watching Husker football. She enjoyed the trips she was able to take with family. She especially enjoyed the trips she took with her sister Janet to the Black Hills and Colorado.
She is survived by brothers and sisters, John (Barbara) Schiffern, Janet (Dean) Hays, Tom (Michelle) Schiffern, Mary Peterson; sister-inlaw, Linda Schiffern; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, her twin sister, Martha; her brothers, William Schiffern and Richard Schiffern; sister-in-law Jaci Schiffern; brother-in-law Robert Peterson.
Funeral service was held Friday, November 15 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo. Visitation was held Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo. Interment will be in the spring in Valentine.
