Rhonda Kay Ann Elliott (Gould) was born to Floyd and Marie Gould on May 12, 1957, in Platte, SD. She passed away peacefully at home in Valentine, NE on April 20, 2025.
Rhonda was a graduate of Todd County High School. She married Jim Elliott on December 17, 1983, at the Cline Trout Farm east of Valentine. Jim and Rhonda had two children and were blessed with four grandchildren.
Rhonda was the manager at the Deer Park Golf Club and spent many years with Brewers Canoers. She was devoted to, and enjoyed all she did, but the job she loved most was with Grandma’s Daycare.
She loved being outdoors, especially spending time near water. She loved to camp, fish, and relax at the lake. She also delighted in gardening and golfing. Her favorite activity was spending time with her grandkids.
Rhonda was a member of the Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Valentine.
Rhonda is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jim Elliott of Valentine, NE; daughter, Julie and her husband Josh Bogardus of Woodbine, IA; son Christopher Elliott and his wife Sunny of Valentine, NE, and grandchildren Marrisa, Gage, Grayson Bogardus and Stormy Elliott; her sister Kathy Perrett of Ashland, NE, and many more beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marie Gould (Gau).
A funeral mass was held Friday, April 25, 2025, in Valentine, at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon following at the Parrish Hall. A Celebration of Life was held at Frederick’s Peak Clubhouse that afternoon at 5:00 p.m.
Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was entrusted with service arrangements.
