Thomas Michael “Bunny” Hogan, 67, was born in Valentine, NE on Easter Day, April 6, 1958 the son of Thomas Ira and Marilyn Ruth (Cournoyer) Hogan.
He passed away after a sudden heart attack on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY.
Tom was proud of his Lakota Sioux heritage as a descendent of Chief Spotted Tail. A member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, he grew up helping his family train quarter horses on their ranch in Rosebud, SD.
He graduated from Todd County High School in Mission, SD in 1976, and he went on to earn his welding degree from Mitchel l Technical College, and later became wellknown for his pipe welding and fabricating.
In his younger years, Tom enjoyed saddle bronc riding and rodeos. After marrying his wife, Cindy Hogan, in 1989, he settled down in Douglas, WY until they relocated to Beatrice, NE in 2014, where he worked for the City of Beatrice.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Ann (Burley) Hogan; father, Thomas Ira Hogan; brother, Brian Hogan, and niece, Tawnee Hogan.
He was survived by his mother, Marilyn Ruth (Cournoyer) Hogan; brothers, Kevin, James (Jacque), and Charles (Kathy) Hogan, and his sister, Beth Ann (Everett) Hogan; his children: Melissa (Fred) Daugherty, Tammy Jo Hogan, Amanda (Carl) Fanning, A’ndrea (Joe) Lorraine, and Michael (Steffany) Hogan; and his grandchildren, Kayleen (Cody) Olson & Payten Daugherty; Anthony Henson; Aubrie, Andrew and Caleb Fanning; Emmarie and Jace Lorraine; and Willow, Avery and AnnDee Hogan; and great grandson, Wells Olson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Tom celebrated 38 years of sobriety, and enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren. He was often found snuggling his youngest grandchildren and cheering on the older grandchildren at their various school and sporting events! He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his passion for the Green Bay Packers, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and love for his family!
Friends and family were invited to attend the funeral services at Gorman Funeral Homes-Converse Chapel in Douglas, WY Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Zack Andrews of First Baptist Church in Douglas officiating, Inurnment and memorial services were held at a later date at the Douglas Park Cemetery.
