Brandon K. Kenner was born April 18, 1985 in Ainsworth, to Paul K. and Ronda D. (Rose) Kenner, of Thedford. Brandon got his first horseback ride at one week old. His daddy totally enjoyed it and they never slowed down. Brandon was soon joined by two brothers, Derek and Ty after moving to Wood Lake.

June was born November 18, 1928 to Emil and Margaret (Reagle) Sauerwein in Valentine. Mother Margaret was called home to the Lord on November 28, 1928, leaving Emil with a baby, a one year old sister, and four other siblings. So Margaret’s brother Floyd Reagle and wife Ethelena took June into their home in Todd County, SD. She was baptized June Katherine on December 1, 1928 in Crookston.

David G. Carr, 85, went to heaven October 13, 2024 with his family by his side. Dave was born on March 8, 1939 in Ainsworth. He graduated from Winner High School, Class of 1957. Always a country boy, growing up on the Carr Ranch in Hidden Timber, SD.

Alvin J. “Jeep” Grooms, 85, of Ord passed away peacefully Saturday, October 12, 2024, at his home in Ord surrounded by his family. Alvin Jerry “Jeep” Grooms was born in Valentine, December 31, 1938, to Clarence and Ruby (Coon) Grooms. He attended Valentine Public Schools where he participated in football, track, basketball, and graduated in 1958.

Carol Marie (Peed) Cady was born Sept ember 14, 1941 to Marvin Dean and Helen (Snyder) Peed on the family farm near Okreek, SD. She was the third born of four children; her sisters Vivian (Dewey) Ross and Darlene (Tom) Heinert; and brother Harold (Leah) Peed.

Charlotte Helen Lin nerson Beck, 85 years old, born December 14,1938 in Nance County, NE, passed June 20, 2024 in Greeley, CO. She was born to Charlotte “Lottie” Olson, and Oscar Linnerson.

Harry LeRoy Jackson was born August 5, 1937, to Andrew and Ella (Zeitner) Jackson. He attended school at Crookston and graduated from Valentine High School. He went on to complete four years of higher education at Chadron State College.

Janice Louise ( Valder) Scripter was born to Willis Valder and Evelyn Frances ( Moffitt) Rollins Valder on September 7, 1941, near Tekamah. She passed away on October 3, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hillside Villa in West Point.

Sean Ryan Boje was born in Valentine, on March 26, 1966. He grew up and attended school and graduated from Valentine High School. After graduation he attended Mid-Plains Community College for electrical technology.

John Robert Longcor, born March 22, 1945, and passed away Sunday, September 29. John is survived by his four children, Lyn Longcor of Rapid City, SD, Tina Longcor of Denver, CO, Michael Longcor of Hornell, NY, and Bill (Brittny) Longcor, children Averie and Jett of Valentine; he is also survived by sister, Loleta (David) Kvien of Sioux Falls, SD.
