Politics keep costs high for families

Over the hundreds of visits I’ve had with Nebraskans these past few months, one issue keeps rising to the top: everything still costs too much.

Wind turbines and solar panels make terrible neighbors

I don’t want to see Nebraska covered in industrial wind turbines and solar panels. They tear apart rural communities. They kill endangered wildlife, and they make terrible neighbors. Worst of all, I think it is foolish to spend billions of borrowed federal tax revenue our children and grandchildren will have to pay back on electricity generators that cannot stand on their own without massive federal subsidies.

Thank a farmer today

W As Third District farmers round out the fall harvest season, it is an appropriate time to note how hard agriculture producers work to feed and fuel the world and how this drives our state’s economy. In recent years, farmers and ranchers have battled historically high inflation and input costs, wildfires, unpredictable weather, and disastrous storms.

Elections have consequences

nOte frOm d.C . In America, elections are about choices.

Safeguards, oversight ensures elections are fair and accurate

Over the years, I’ve covered a few elections – probably more than I’d like to remember. Back in the day, we didn’t get the wall-to-wall commercials slinging mud or the daily update on what the polls say.

Vote!!! This election will make history for Nebraska communities

Our 2024 general election is only a few short days away. Nebraska ballots during this election contain choices between a number of federal and state candidates. These electoral contests include the races for president, both of Nebraska’s federal senators, all three congressional representatives, dozens of state legislative races, the State Board of Education, and Public Service Commission. We also have a number of local races like natural resource districts, community college boards, and county board seats, as well as retention votes on local judges.

My office stands ready to assist you

W My service in Congress is fundamentally about hearing and addressing the concerns of Third District Nebraskans. In addition to representing your interests as Congress considers legislation, I devote significant effort to ensuring the federal government functions appropriately and fulfills its obligations to you as a taxpayer.

Spending in Fischer-Osborn race says something...

Labels in politics are a tricky thing, particularly in Nebraska. If you’re a “Republican,” do you align with the wing of the party that identifies with former governor and U.S.
