Winter Storm Elliott = DON’T TRAVEL

One thing Winter Storm Elliott didn’t do was to set any record breaking weather. What it did do, was keep people from traveling again! Diaz was still on the ground - that storm hit December 14, and had a record breaking rain fall of 1.06 inches, and a record snowfall of 10.3 inches breaking records set in 1925 and 1951 respectively.

Governor-Elect Pillen announces breakthrough agreement with State Troopers

LINCOLN – Nebraska Governorelect Jim Pillen announced his team has reached a breakthrough agreement with the State Law Enforcement Bargaining Council (SLEBC) that will take effect July 1, 2023. The agreement shows Governor-elect Pillen's commitment to law and order and includes the largest pay increase for State Troopers in the past two decades.

Nebraska receives fourth Silver Shovel award

LINCOLN – Governor Pete Ricketts announced that Nebraska has received a major economic development award. For the fourth time, Area Development—the leading executive magazine covering corporate site selection and relocation— has honored the State with a Silver Shovel. Previous Silver Shovels were awarded in 2007, 2019, and 2020. The 2022 award recognizes Nebraska’s successful recruitment of high-value, job-creating investment projects in 2021.
