A Different sort of Greeting!

Why is it that people have such difficulty saying “Merry Christmas” as if it’s offensive? Besides the political correctness rampant in America, is there a deeper issue with people being able to recognize Christmas? Christmas is, and should be, a celebration of Christ coming to earth for the salvation of humanity. The truth that the Son of God left the glories of heaven to become a human baby says at least three things about the human condition and the nature of God.

Holiday horticulture tends to revolve around the same handful of plants. So if you don’t already have any or all of these five holiday plants, now is the time to get them: PAPERWHITES The bulbs of these daffodil family members are pre-chilled so they can be planted now and produce flowers in a month to six weeks. If you find them for sale, by all means buy as many as you can. The only caveat is that some family members may object to the unbelievably sweet smell of their blooms.

Renning receives the Caring Kind Award

Every year, the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) bestows deserving recipients with the Caring Kind Award as recognition to Nebraska health care team members who have risen to the top by providing service excellence and dedication to their profession. These award recipients commit themselves to the betterment of their hospitals and health systems, their customers, their co-workers and their communities. The NHA started the Caring Kind Award 43 years ago. Cherry County Hospital and Clinic is pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s the Caring Kind award for our organization goes to Kathryn Renning.
