WASHINGTON – The Senate unanimously approved U.S. Senators Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) and Michael Bennet’s (D-Colo.), bipartisan resolution designating May 29 as Mental Health Awareness in Agriculture Day.

Valentine City Council denies change orders

The Valentine City Council met for their regular meeting, Thursday, June 13, 2024. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following in attendance: Council members Ross Brockley, Neil Wescott, Kalli Kieborz, Kyle Arganbright; City Manager Shane Siewert, and City Clerk Deanna Schmit. Council member Brad Arnold was excused for National Guard duty.

Merritt Road update

NH-97, Merritt Reservoir North. What’s next: Asphalt placement is complete. Werner Construction has mobilized off the project. HWY 97 around Merritt Reservoir is now a smoother, wider roadway. Driveways have been replaced and are operational.
