UNK graduation held Graduate and undergraduate degrees were conferred for 702 spring graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.

Celebrate National Beef Month with good eats: Beef and tater tot casserole

This is a tasty casserole. It is easy to fix and transport and provides a healthy, well-rounded meal in one dish. My kids have always liked this dish, and my extended family was introduced to it in the silage field and really liked it as well. It reheats well for leftovers in a hurry. It is also an easy dish to take to the field. This can also be made in a crock pot on low for 4 hours if the cook also has to be the hired hand.

St. John’s Food Pantry requests assistance

Participation is up and we’ve had food flying off the shelves this spring. We are reaching out to the community and asking for help to restock our supplies. We greatly appreciate everyone who continues to support our little pantry.
