Lakeview/Crookston Lavern and Pauline Lanz went to Minneapolis to watch grandson Bryce sing in the church Christmas program, and watched Lincoln’s last game of the basketball tournament Sunday afternoon. Walt and Sonja Lurz spent the weekend in the Black Hills with their kids and grandkids and celebrated Walt’s birthday on Sunday.

Only 10 days left to help the Salvation Army help others

The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign has raised $3,026.46 as of December 11, 2023. The goal is $8,000 so your help is still needed. Ninety percent of the money raised stays in Cherry County to help families with emergency needs.

Wreaths Across America to be held December 16

The 2023 Wreaths Across America ceremony at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine, will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST, December 16. After the ceremony, we will place wreaths on veterans graves. Everyone is invited to join us for the ceremony and to place a wreath to remember a veteran.
