The beard stayed put and the spirit of Christmas lives on! Santa’s reindeer are hanging out at Wood Lake when they’re not at the North Pole. The weather was windy and cool perhaps Santa brought some polar weather with him.

event was held at the Cherry County Farigrounds 4-H building Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The program was for sophomore students from the following schools: Ainsworth, Cody-Kilgore, Keya Paha, Rock County, Thedford, and Valentine. Just over 100 sophomores were in attendance. Volunteers from the community were kind enough to spend the day with students to share their time, talents, and energy. They coached them on life skills and helped them with their “real-life” adult budget scenarios.

Valentine Community Schools is proud to announce Alex Jensen as the new Head Cross Country Coach. This is Alex Jensen’s seventh year at Valentine Community Schools where he teaches high school social studies.
