North Central District Health Department completes Nebraska Community Foundation challenge grant

O’Neill – In recognition of National Children’s Dental Health Month, North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) announced the successful completion of a $125,000 challenge grant issued by Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF) and an anonymous donor for the benefit of the Miles of Smiles school-based oral screening and fluoride varnish program.

Cherry County 4-H Luck of the Draw items

Cherry County 4-H has close to 250 4-H members and 75 volunteers! February is 4-H Month and to celebrate, Cherry County 4-H is hosting their annual “Luck of the Draw fund raiser on Saturday, February 11 starting at 10:00 a.m. The Luck of the Draw will be held in the City Hall bay area on our newly rejuvenated and beautiful Main Street. All funds raised by the 4-H youth, leaders, and volunteers will be used for the Cherry County 4-H program. These funds support 4-H activities, programming, workshops, supplies, equipment, clinicians, trophies, ribbons, awards, scholarships, club and project grants, and exhibitor T-shirts.

SCHOLAR OF THE WEEK

Lee has been on the ball this year planning his life after high school. He was one of the first students to get his “ducks in a row” and has committed to going to Dordt University next fall.
