BADGER OF THE WEEK

Isaac Cronin, Freshman, Cross-Country Ike Cronin’s leadership and performance at the Broken Bow Cross Country meet earned him the title: Badger of the Week. As a freshman, Isaac has shown great initiative and dedication to himself and his teammates at practice and at meets. Isaac ran 20:10 and was our second runner at the Ainsworth meet. Isaac knew he had to lead our team at Broken Bow and that he did. Isaac ran an 18:49.69 placing him 26 in a field of 131 competitors. Way to go Isaac, your “Cross Country Family” congratulates you and we will continue to watch as our season progresses.

SCHOLAR OF THE WEEK

Alivia is driven. She is in three of my classes this year: Business and Professional Speaking (dual credit), Accounting, and Business Law. She comes to class each day with a smile...and a sandwich because she has already tackled cross country and cheer practice before 8:00 a.m. She is BUSY with extra curriculars, yet she puts 110 percent into her scholastics.

SCHOLAR OF THE WEEK

Quinton Nelson, Sophomore Quinton has taken a leadership role in his section in band this year. He has also been willing to sacrifice time in the locker room during football games to help us with field shows.

BADGER OF THE WEEK

Ashton Lurz, Senior, Football Ashton Lurz, he was six of seven passing for 70 yards and three touchdowns last Friday against West Holt. He also carried the ball eight times for 60 yards and two touchdowns.

Cowgirls off to a busy season

Mice control

As the weather cools off, rodents are looking for warmer places to live, which means they are trying to enter nearly every building in Nebraska. Common house mice or field mice that infest shops, offices, and treatment plants, are said to be the most invasive species in the world mostly because of how often they reproduce.

Colorful mums for fall gardens and containers

Add a burst of fresh color to the fall landscape with mums. This traditional fall flower is still a favorite of many. These fall beauties come in a wide range of colors and provide weeks of floral beauty. Mums are great in containers, the garden, and cut flower bouquets. Fall just wouldn’t be the same without them.
