Upcoming trainings to be held on home food preservation

Many Nebraskans are excited this time of year to begin preparations to preserve the great flavors of the growing season at home. One must follow step-by-step instructions from approved, research tested recipes to assure they preserve a safe home canned product. Gardening with kids

Spring has sprung and garden fever is in the air. What better way to get kids outside than to plant a garden? Making the whole garden experience a family affair can be an extension of the classroom in the outdoors. It also gives youth an opportunity to learn where their food comes from and connect them to nature.

The Valentine Rotary Club was once again most successful in contributing to their “Fish N’ Chips for Scholarships”program. Weather co-operation aided in attendance for this annual event of fun and fellowship and fish and fixins’. Through the most generous benevolence of our community and supporters we were able to raise funds for our local youth.

Kilmer pretrial hearing continued until May 20

The State v Kevin T. Kilmer was scheduled for pretrial hearing March 18, 2022, and has been continued to May 10, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. for the reason that further time is needed for discovery purposes and to conduct depositions.
