JUNE 2, 2022 (GRAND ISLAND, NE) - One of the most notable times of year in Nebraska is underway: Construction season. Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol are adding emphasis around work zones to keep construction crews and motorists safe during the summer months.

MPCC announces spring President’s List A total of 129 students qualified for the President’s List during the 2022 spring semester at Mid-Plains Community College. To make the list, each student had to complete 12 or more applicable credit hours in college-level courses and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.9 or greater on a 4.0 scale.

Four members of the Friends of the Niobrara conducted their annual roadside clean-up on Saturday, May 21, 2022 near Sparks. Mark Brohman, Tim Knott, Adam Thody, and Rosemary Thornton, all of Lincoln, were joined by Nadine Salas, an intern with the Niobrara National Scenic River from the Valentine office.
