Beach appointment

We’ve enjoyed full (several nights a week) ministry in 2021. Our discipleship groups are rewarding and fun. In fact when we decided to take an extra week off before resuming them, some were disappointed to miss the meetings. Off to the beach we went on Monday after our last Christmas guest/family members drove away. We’re only three hours from Carolina Beach. With family roots there, it feels like home.

AG released Human Trafficking Task Force update

Attorney General Doug Peterson joined Governor Pete Ricketts and Colonel John Bolduc from the Nebraska State Patrol in recognizing National Human Trafficking Awareness Month. District Court news

According to Cherry County Attorney, Eric Scott, four individuals were sentenced January 21, 2022 in Cherry County District Court on various felony charges. John Fred Garner, age 61 of Valentine, was sentenced to 10-16 years in the Nebraska State Penitentiary for Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

Home Rehabilitation Funds available

The Central Nebraska Housing Developers are announcing the availability of funds to rehabilitate owner-occupied homes, located within the municipal boundaries of communities in our 14-county region. Low- to no-interest loans are available to income-eligible households for rehabilitation activities, including, but not limited to: weatherization, roof and foundation repairs, plumbing, electrical, painting/siding, and accessibility.
