Badger wrestling triangular didn’t go as planned due to illness

Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the Badgers had a triangular in Winner, SD where they wrestled with Winner and O’Neill. Coach Shane Allison said, “The Badgers were beaten by two good teams on Tuesday. Both teams were tough, but we didn’t wrestle to our capabilities. This may or may not take us out of the state duals. I don’t know if it’s that we aren’t fully recovered from sickness yet, or the lack of practice due to sickness, but our kids didn’t wrestle the way they have been all year. The good news is, it is not district or state week. Hopefully we will be healthy when it counts.”
