A young man was in our home and remarked about the many doilies I had dotted around our living room, on chair arms and even seats. He’d never seen so many crocheted creations and politely asked about them. I never considered it odd at all. They were my grandmother’s handwork; and their presence reminded me of her. In addition, they protected worn corners and wooden table tops.

JANUARY 4, 2022 (LINCOLN) — The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) are encouraging Nebraskans to make safe driving a resolution for 2022. Valentine, September 28-29, 2021, -- Two hundred and ninety-seven high school students and teachers from 42 schools from across Nebraska visited Cherry County this fall to test their knowledge of rangeland management during the 66th Annual Nebraska State Range Judging Contest.

Eyesight is often taken for granted, and living without it can be a challenge for many. Over three million Americans and over 60 million people worldwide have glaucoma, which is often referred to as "the sneak thief of sight" because there are often no symptoms of its presence. However, once vision is lost, it's permanent; as much as 40% of vision can be lost without a person noticing, which experts estimate is the case in half of those who suffer from glaucoma. Combined with an aging population, there is an epidemic of blindness looming if awareness is not raised about the importance of regular eye examinations to preserve vision.

Jon and Marissa Logterman and family of Iowa spent several days visiting Dwight and Marvanne Logterman, and Jesse and Lindsay Logterman and Owen of Sioux Falls also came for several days. They were joined by George and Jodi Arnold and Rob and Andee Logterman and family on Friday, Dec 30 and all celebrated a belated Christmas together.
