The Valentine City council met Thursday, December 9, 2021, in the Library Meeting Room. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. with the following in attendance: City Clerk Deanna Schmit, City Manager Shane Siewert, Council members Kyle Arganbright, Kalli Kieborz, Neil Wescott, Dave Dent, and Ross Brockley.

Drake Janssen, Senior Drake Janssen truly deserves to be the Scholar of the Week, and I am so glad to have him in my class! He works hard, is always sweet, and is curious about the material we are studying. I also truly appreciate Drake’s willingness to help his classmates when they need it.

Hayden Larabee, Senior, One-Act I am thrilled to nominate Hayden Larabee as our Badger of the Week. Hayden joined us this year in One-Act, and we are so glad that he did! Not only does he bring immense talent to the group, I most admire his teamwork, leadership, and commitment.

We want to hear from you! Game and Parks is seeking public comment on an updated draft of the 2021 Berggren Plan, which will guide pheasant management in Nebraska over the next five years. We invite you to attend a virtual public informational meeting at 7:00 p.m.
