The will of the people

by Senator Tanya Storer The 109th session of the Nebraska Legislature adjourned Sine Die on Monday, June 2. There are many things I can reflect on but this week I want to focus on one particular theme of controversy this year; “the will of the people,” specifically related to ballot initiatives.

State’s challenge is a river

As we’re reminded over and over, Nebraska doesn’t have mountains like Colorado and Wyoming, and doesn’t have the beaches of California or Florida. That’s one of the reasons, we’re told, the Cornhusker State is among the least visited of all the states.
