This time last year, a long terrible drought in the Sandhills was coming to an end and we were counting our blessings for all the moisture we received in Northwest Nebraska this year. As the Christmas holiday approaches, I am reminded to give thanks.

We observe important traditions of faith, family, and fellowship. We enjoy excellent food and exchange gifts with loved ones. Christmas also allows for time to reflect on the true meaning of the season and the values that define us as a state and nation.
