Ainsworth Invite Best Ball Tourney results

Monday, May 4, 2026, the Badger Golf Team traveled to Ainsworth where they participated in the Ainsworth Invite Best Ball Tournament. Results are as follows: Fifth place, the team of Wackler and Cumbow, 80.

Badgers placed fourth at the SPVA Golf Meet

“Congratulations to Parker Wackler and Tanner Two Strike on earning All‑Conference honors at the SPVA Golf Meet on May 1!,” said Coach Brooks Coleman. Varsity Results Team Score: 354, fourth place Parker Wackler, 86, seventh place Tanner Two Strike, 87, ninth place Thurston Ravenscroft, 90 Caden Stankoski, 91 Westin Witte, 91 The JV squad also had an out‑standing day in Mullen, sweeping first through fourth place! JV Results Team Score: 165, first place Nash Hesse, 38, first place Garrett Cumbow, 39, second place Reeves Witte, 44, third place Trevor Two Strike, 44, fourth place Aiden Hutchinson, 47, seventh place Brenden Battershaw, 59 The boys Golf Team competed at the Quad in Ainsworth, April 22, and tied for first place, with 169.

VHS results from the SPVA Track and Field meet

The Valentine Badgers competed at SPVA Track and Field meet, Friday, May 1, 2026. There were eight teams competing and the Valentine Boys team placed fourth with 54. Chase County was the first place winner with 163, followed by Hershey with 96, North Platte St. Patrick’s with 90, fifth place, Mitchell, 38; Bridgeport, 36; Kimball, 27; and Perkins County, 20.

VMS Invitational results

The Valentine Middle School Track Invite was held April 30, 2026. Originally scheduled for April 28, the meet was rescheduled, and only teams from Cody-Kilgore, North Central, and Ainsworth were able to join the Badgers on the new date.

Girls 4x100 = Meet Champions at 2026 Midwest Classic

The Badger track team attended the 2026 Midwest Classic. The team had girls 4x800 Christen, Aiden, Clarrah, and Kealy, 4x100 Danika, Maeli, Clarrah, and Mia, and 4x400 Clarrah, Devahney, Mia, and Maeli all qualify; and the boys 4x100 Isaac U., Jekhi, Trystan, and Dominic qualified.

Heartland Hope Volleyball Tournament

A local volleyball tournament organized by Christen Larson and Aubrey Benson, brought together their community to help raise funds for the Heartland Cancer Foundation. Aubrey Benson and Christen Larson’s purpose for this tournament was to help families and people in need who are struggling with cancer.

4-H Communications & Expressive Arts Contest results

The 4-H Communications & Expressive Arts Contest was held on April 6, 2026, at the Cherry County Extension Office. There were 18 participants competing in the different areas of speech, music, and talent. The judge for the music and talent portion was Shelly Parks while Ann Nieffer judged the public speaking. Mahaya Jones was the Emcee for the event.

Badger take fifth place at Hershey Invite

The Badgers competed at the Hershey Invite April 16, 2026 and placed fifth with a team score of 352. Coach Brooks Coleman said, “It was a demanding day of golf that required a different style of play than we’re used to.
