Cowboys drop road opener to Stuart

On Saturday, December 13, 2025 the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys traveled east down Highway 20 to Stuart to tip off against the Broncos. Despite their hard work and strong team mentality throughout the game, the Cowboys faced a hard defeat of 61-33, First quarter saw action with both teams breaking the silence. CK sophomore Teagen Fish #2 set the stage early by scoring the first points on the board; however, the Broncos ended the first quarter with a lead of 21-7.

Arthur County Wolves outlast Cowboys

On Friday, December 12, 2025, the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys hosted the Arthur County Wolves in the seasonopener.TheCowboysplayed a tight game against the Wolves, ending up with a tough loss of 46-51. The first quarter saw both teams trying to each build an early lead; however, both teams were evenly matched.

Cowgirls trap Lady Wolves in Cody 51-41

The Cody-Kilgore Cowgirls faced the Arthur County Lady Wolves on Friday, December 12, 2025 in Cody, NE. After coming up short in two close scrimmages against Crawford and Hemingford during the Hall of Fame Jamboree, the Cowgirls began their Class D girls’ basketball campaign by daring to tame the Lady Wolves.

Lady Badgers

Lady Badgers are playing their style of basketball. The Lady Badgers are 4-1 with their only loss coming in their first game of the season against a 5-1 O’Neill Lady Eagles. Since that first game, the Lady Badgers have defeated North Platte St. Pat’s, Todd County Falcons, and Summerland Bobcats. Their fifth win was a 3 quarter win vs. the Mullen Broncos.

The Valentine Badgers have two wins as their season begins. First up, December 4 against O’Neill, they won with a score of 65-43. Scoring by quarters: Valentine - 18, 22, 15, 10 = 65 O’Neill - 12, 13, 7. 11, 43. Isaac Cronin was the lead scorer with 21, Dominic Beebout, 13; Tryston Beebout, 10; Aiden Buckendahl, 7; Caden Stankoski and Jackson Huggins each with 5; Trace Buechle and Duncan Mosner each with 2.

All District Football Team announced for Nebraska Class C-2 District 6

The Nebraska Class C-2 District 6 has officially announced its All-District football team, recognizing the exceptional talent and outstanding performances of student-athletes during the 2025 season. This year, Rhodee Hill from Hershey has been named District MVP, reflecting his remarkable contributions on the field.
