The Badger track team had five individuals qualify for the 2021 Norfolk Classic. Seniors, Isabelle Salters in long jump, 100M Dash, and 200M Dash. Nick Sherbeyn in the 200M Dash and 400M Dash. Kenny Shelbourn in long jump and triple jump. Sophomores Jack Lancaster in the 1600M run and Kailee Kellum in high jump. Unfortunately Kailee fell ill and was not able to compete.

Ryan shot an impressive 84 this season at two tournaments including a third place at O’Neill on Thursday. Ryan is captain of this years golf team and brings dedication to the sport every day at practice.

The Valentine Badgers traveled to West Holt for their invite, Thursday, April 22, 2021. “Our kids competed well versus some of the competition we will see at Districts.

The Badger Golf Team golfed on a cold and windy day, Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Fredrick Peak and came away with a team score of 205 against Ainsworth. Individually, Kane Fowler was the dual champion with 45.

LINCOLN, Neb. – There is good news for foragers.

The Valentine Area Arts Council was excited to bring Mark Powers back to the Valentine Community Schools. Mark worked with kids in the Valentine Elementary School, VMS, VHS, and Zion Lutheran School. Grace Lutheran and homeschool students were also included during the sessions at Zion Lutheran.

Izzy has had a phenomenal track season so far. She has won countless events this season including meet champion in the 100, 200 and long jump at Bassett last week. She also was on the 4x100 meter relay which placed second. Izzy also won the female outstanding performer for the meet. But more than anything, Izzy is a great teammate who is always willing to encourage and congratulate her teammates.

Saturday, April 17, 2021, was the VHS Prom, with the theme Lost Prom. After the promenade was complete, King Blaine Sage and Queen Delaney Robison were crowned!.

VHS Coach Blake Beebout said, “I’m proud of how our track team competed through a tough stretch in our season. Three track meets in six days time is never an easy task, especially when you add the cold and wind. We are looking forward to hopefully getting some nice weather to get some quality practice time in. Congratulations again to our Boys Team for winning the Sandhills Invite and to Isabelle Salters for being the Female MVP of the Sandhills Invite.”

Congratulations to Badger track athlete, Isabelle Salters. She received female track athlete MVP at the 2021 Sandhills Track Invitational. She earned first place finishes in long jump, 100 meter and 200 meter runs, as well as a second place finish in the 4x100 relay.
