Lady Badgers host invite!

The Lady Badgers hosted their invitational this past weekend where they played against Gordon- Rushville, Hyannis, Hemingford, and Cozad. The Lady Badgers won against Gordon-Rushville 25-18, 25-16; Hyannis 25-15, 25-12; and Hemingford 25-18, 25-19.

Badgers win over Amherst

“Once again, it was another gritty performance by our guys to find a way to win at the end of the game. We did a great job of maintaining our composure throughout the game and making adjustments as we went in all three phases. Our guys upfront really set the tone and opened up a lot of room for us to run as the game went along. We are looking forward to competing again this Friday at home,” said Coach Ian Bish.

Valentine Badgers fall to Winner Warriors

The Lady Badgers traveled to Winner, SD and took on the Lady Warriors and lost in three sets, winning one: 22-25, 15-25, 25-21, 23-25. Mia Sherbeyn led in kills with 12; Ashlyn Hutchinson, 9; Annalena Nelson, Clarrah Beebout each with 2; Paige Sprenger and Devhaney Belville, each with 1.

Crawford conquers CK 39-22

September,25,2025,theCody-Kilgore Cowboys had a tussle with a stubborn herd of Crawford Rams in Dawes County, NE. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the Rams ended up on the winning side of the encounter by the final score of 39-22.

Badgers win over Mitchell 28-21

“t was a really gutsy performance by all 20 guys that suited up last Friday night. We got down early but our guys stayed the course and battled through adversity to come out on top against a good Mitchell team,” said Coach Ian Bish. “We had several guys push through being banged up and come up in a big way for us. A few guys stepped up with special individual performances including Parker Chavez finishing with 19 total tackles, multiple forced fumbles, and a 90 yard touchdown run.

12U football falls to O’Neill

12U Football had a rough afternoon on Sunday, October 5, 2025. They battled through the wind and fall chill but came up short against O’Neill-2. The final score was Valentine-2 14 and O’Neill-2 30. Their final game will be Sunday October 12, at 2:00 p.m., versus Boyd County.

Lady Badgers take second place

Valentine hosted West Holt, O’Neill, Ainsworth and Mullen, Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Valentine took second as a team with a 398. We placed three girls in the top 10: Tierney Miller took second with 94, Joni Cox took sixth with 99, and Rylee Wackler took eighth with 100. Sam Sprenger, Kassie Hanson and Grace Murphy were not far out of placing.

Lady Badger Volleyball earn Tourney Champs

On Thursday, the Valentine Badgers traveled to Sandhills Thedford for a Triangular against Stuart and Sandhills Thedford. The Lady Badgers took on Stuart for their first match of the night winning the first set 25-15 and second set 25-18. Mia Sherbeyn recorded 12 kills, 4 aces, and 5 digs. Ashlyn Hutchinson had 8 kills, 3 aces, and 6 digs. Paige Sprenger and Clarrah Beebout each recorded one block. Devahney Belville had 26 assists, and 7 digs. Danika Janssen had 3 aces, and 10 digs. Annalena Nelson had 3 kills in this match.

Cowgirls sweep Oelrichs Lady Tigers 3-0

The Cody-Kilgore Cowgirls hosted the Oelrichs Lady Tigers for the Homecoming 2025 contest. The Cowgirls made quick work of the match by winning the first three sets. Leaving the Lady Tigers a long bus ride home to contemplate the loss.
