The Badger Speech team qualified two for the NSAA State Speech. They had four team members medal Marybelle Ward placed sixth in entertainment, Camilla Brown placed sixth in poetry.

With the cost of raising a child to age 18 reaching well over $300,000, the personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on the Best and Worst States to Raise a Family in 2025, as well as expert commentary, to highlight the states that are affordable, safe, well-educated and enjoyable for families to live in. WalletHub compared the 50 states across 50 key indicators of family-friendliness.

The Powder Horn Area boat ramp at Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area will be closed until further notice due to damage incurred this past winter. Significant heaving from ice caused the lower portion of the ramp to break off and sink.

The Cherry County Club volleyball 15s girls played Saturday March 15, 2025 in St. Paul, NE at the Midplains Winter Storm Rally tournament. Pool play which then led them to be rebracketed to play championship games.

The Greatest Show is the 2025 prom theme. Saturday, March 29, Valentine High School juniors and seniors will begin their evening with a meal at the Bunkhouse restaurant at 6:00 p.m.
