LaDeaux and Garwood qualify for NSAA State Speech!

The Badger Speech team qualified two for the NSAA State Speech. They had four team members medal Marybelle Ward placed sixth in entertainment, Camilla Brown placed sixth in poetry.

Powder Horn Area boat ramp at Merritt closed due to damages

The Powder Horn Area boat ramp at Merritt Reservoir State Recreation Area will be closed until further notice due to damage incurred this past winter. Significant heaving from ice caused the lower portion of the ramp to break off and sink.

15s earn championship at St. Paul

The Cherry County Club volleyball 15s girls played Saturday March 15, 2025 in St. Paul, NE at the Midplains Winter Storm Rally tournament. Pool play which then led them to be rebracketed to play championship games.

The Greatest Show is the 2025 prom theme. Saturday, March 29, Valentine High School juniors and seniors will begin their evening with a meal at the Bunkhouse restaurant at 6:00 p.m.
