The Lady Badgers played four games in the last week. The opponents total current record is 29-11. The Badgers played a challenging gameagainsttheWestHoltHuskies. The Lady Badgers stayed right with the Lady Huskies in three of the four quarters, but in the third quarter, the Lady Huskies outscored the Lady Badgers with a 15-point margin (25-10).

All but one dock will be pulled from the water at Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area starting Jan. 3 for the winter season.

The Badger wrestling team held their tournament Saturday, December 21, 2024. Individual results are as follows: 106 Deklin Titus (10-4) placed 3rd and scored 20.0 team points.

Nebraska anglers should be aware of fishing regulation changes that take effect January 1, 2025. The changes to fishing rules, approved by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission during meetings in 2024, are: • Black Bass (largemouth, smallmouth and spotted) – At Frye Lake Wildlife Management Area, there will be no minimum length limit with no more than one fish 18 inches or longer allowed in the five-fish daily bag limit.

The Valentine High School Music Department is proud to announce that Marybell Ward and Titus Maunu, both seniors at VHS, have been selected to sing in the High Plains Honor Choir at Chadron State College in February.

The Valentine Badger Wrestling teams held their Triangular, Thursday, December 12, where they hosted Chadron and Gordon-Rushville. Coach Marcus Nelson said, “We went 1-1 on the night for both boys and girls.
