Congratulations to the Valentine Middle School first quarter Badger Effort Award recipients! The Badger Effort Award is based on the school’s character education. Students who demonstrate Character In Action (CIA), responsibility, accountability, honesty, empathy, and respect were nominated by their classroom teachers and staff.

The Lady Badgers traveled to Broken Bow for their invite, Tuesday, October 22, 2024. They played the Cozad Haymakers in the first game and lost in two sets.

The Badgers are District Champions! They hosted Kearney Catholic, Friday, October 25, 2024, and won with a score of 20-14. Scoring by quarters: Valentine - 0, 6, 14, 0 = 20 Kearney - 0, 0, 7, 7 = 14 Andon Olson made the first TD in the game with a six yard pass from Trace Buechle in the second quarter.

The Valentine Badgers earned another win Friday, October 18, 2024, when they traveled to Gordon-Rushville and ended with a winning score of 36-22. Scoring by quarters: Valentine - 0, 6, 22, 8 = 36 Gordon-Rushville - 0, 0, 8, 14 = 22 There was no action under the uprights in the first quarter.

The Sparks Nebraska Spurs in Valentine hosted a four day Cowboy Fast Draw shooting extravaganza. Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Shadow Riders CFDA Club of Phillipsburg, KShield held their Kansas State CFDA Championship.

Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Lady Badgers hosted Gordon- Rushville, Ainsworth, Chadron, and Cozad came away with a win! TheyplayedGordon-Rushville first and won one and lost two. Next the Lady Badgers played against Ainsworth and won in two sets. Their third match was against ChadronwheretheLadyBadgers won one, and lost two. Their final match was against Cozad where they lost in two sets The Lady Badgers will compete in Southwest Conference play at Broken Bow, Friday, October 25, 2024.

A cast call for the play during Old West Days will be held Thursday, October 29, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

NSAA Class C Girls State Golf played at Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte, October 14-15, 2024. The top 15 teams out of 81 Class C Nebraska schools played Monday and Tuesday of last week in the two day state tournament.

Coach Alex Jensen said, “For the NSAA D-6 Districts we ran Thursday, October 17, at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Grant, NE. The five boys and two girls we took to compete were Deklin Titus, Devlin Welch, Isaac Utecht, Tanner Two Strike, Christen Larson, and Paige Sprenger.
