Badger JV Golf results from Ainsworth

2023 Nebraska Youth Range Camp scheduled for June 5-8, apply now

Students aged 14-18 with an interest in rangeland management, conservation, ecology, animal science, and wildlife are encouraged to attend the 59th Nebraska Youth Range Camp at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis.

Cody-Kilgore track results from Valentine Invite

Cody-Kilgore High School and Junior High participated in the Valentine Invite Thursday, May 4, 2023. Individual girls high school results are as follows: 100 Meter Dash - seventh place, Rachel Farley, 14.49.

CK results from Arnold

Cody-Kilgore traveled to Arnold for the MNAC Track meet. The boys individual results are as follows: Shot Put - third place, Dylan Naslund.

Surveys indicate mixed bag on fish winterkill

Surveys by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission show many Sandhills lakes fared better than expected after a harsh winter led to fish kills. Deep snow over thick ice this winter caused oxygen depletion in many of the region’s most shallow and vegetated lakes, causing fish and the plants they rely upon for survival to die.

Interagency cooperation creates learning experience

Valentine – Friday April 28, at the request of Valentine Community Schools, staff and volunteers from National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Valentine Police Department created a crime scene for Valentine High School Advanced Biology students to learn about investigation skills. The goal was to expose the students to crime scene investigation techniques across different agencies for career development.

The Valentine Badgers had their invitational May 4, 2023. Individual girls results from VHS are as follows: 100 Meter Dash - fourth place, Malika Monroe, 14.40; 17th place, Ciana Colvin, 16.79; 18th place, Courtney Billings, 17.18.

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce the student recipients of the Spring 2023 Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards. Since 2006 this NSAA Awards Program has recognized students who meet the criteria for nomination by their school in the season of their activity.
