2026 Ainsworth Invite Results for Valentine 106 - Brayden Stec (10-7) placed 4th and scored 10.5 team points. Champ.

Jan. 21, 2026 (WAYNE, Neb.) – Wayne State College included 1,300 students on the Dean’s List for exemplary academic achievement during the fall 2025 semester.

The Badger Wrestlers had a home dual with O’Neill and Winner on Tuesday, where Valentine Boys went 1-1. Beating O’Neill but losing to Winner. They then headed out of town on Thursday to outrun the weather. On Friday, the boys took part in the Chadron Duals. Valentine as a team went 3-2 on the day. Beating Chase County, Valley, and Central, but a loss to Scottsbluff put them into the 3rd and 4th grade medal round.

The Valentine youth basketball teams traveled to Ainsworth for a fun Sunday of basketball. The sixth grade boys team played Atkinson and Stuart 6th. They were victorious in both games; Atkinson 30-15 and Stuart 32-26.

The Badger boys’ basketball team played in its first SPVA tournament. Their first-round game was against the Chase County Longhorns, which the Badgers controlled in the first and fourth quarters, earning a 67-54 win. In this game, senior Isaac Cronin set the single-game scoring record with 42 points, previously held by Andon Olson.

The Badger Speech team was in action this weekend for their first “meet” of the year at Broken Bow, and they brought home some hardware. Camilla Brown: POI (2nd), Poetry (4th), Extemp (9th), Shyanne Dawson: Poetry (3rd), River Doyle: Informative (4th), Persuasive (8th), Praise Maunu: Humorous (9th), Ara’Vani Johnson: Extemp (2nd), Josie Shaul: Entertainment (11th), Duet (7th) and Landen Mooney: Duet (7th). They will be in action at Perkins County Next week!
