CHADRON, NE – Chadron State College has announced the names of students who qualified for the President’s List for the Fall 2025 semester. To be eligible, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of coursework, be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 4.0, and have no incomplete grades.

The Badger basketball teams hosted West Holt on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. The Lady Huskies came into the contest with an 8-2 record. They took control and didn’t hold back. The Lady Badgers couldn’t get things going, and the Husky defense held them to 31 points. The Lady Huskies earned their 9th win of the season, 62-31. Next for the Lady Badgers was the Lady Indians of Broken Bow, a 7-4 team. This was another tough battle for the Lady Badgers. Broken Bow took the lead and took control of the game very early in the game. The lead got to be too much, and the Lady Badgers weren’t able to fight back. The Lady Badgers were defeated by a score of 73-37 for their fourth loss of the season.

The sixth graders went 1-1 on Saturday at the Bassett tournament. They lost to Creighton and beat West Holt.

Coach Marcus Nelson said, “Both the girls and boys wrestled well for one of the tougher tournaments on our schedule. This was a good test to see where we are at, compared with some of the competition we won’t see for the rest of the year. We came away with severalmedalsonbothteams,Jekhi Williams was our lone champion.”

3rd-4th 75 - Cormac Coleman’s place is 2nd and has scored 18.5 team points. Champ.

The sixth grade boys basketball team played two challenging games in Springview on Saturday, January 3, 2026. The first game on the court was against Stuart. They worked hard and won 3423. Their second game was against Winner, and they had a close game going into halftime, but the sixth graders fought hard in the second half and won 23-12. Their next game will be in Bassett on January 10.
