Sandhills Prairie Refuge Association volunteers around refuges
The American Hiking Society Trail Crew volunteered their time in repairing the trail at Fort Falls.
Sandhills Prairie Refuge Association volunteers and refuge staff made repairs to the turtle fences along Highway 83 at the Valentine National Wildlife Refuge. A section of the fence was damaged when a vehicle left the roadway. Volunteers replaced that section. Pictured above is Gordon who placed rock where water washed under the fence. SPRA has worked on the fence several times making sure it does its work of keeping turtles from becoming road kill.
