Become a Girl Scout!

A ceremony was held to present the 2018 Bronze Awards to the Girl Scout Troop 101. Pictured are from L to R: Kaylee Hanson, Hailey Witte, Laramie Elliott, Marybelle Ward, Emma Kreutner, Taryn Tinant and Courntey Billings.

Meadow Reinders, pictured above, third from the left, is a local seventh grader who learned to sew and made receiving blankets for newborns at Cherry County Hospital for her Girl Scout Silver Award. Meadow was born at Cherry County Hospital a few weeks premature and was transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. She has made blankets to give to the Good Samaritan Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit also.

Showing solidarity to each other and Girl Scouts as a whole, is the friendship circle at the Girl Scout Cabin in Valentine City Park.
