The Lady Badgers began their week by hosting Todd County, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 where they won in three sets. Valentine - 25, 25, 25 = 3 Todd County - 16, 21, 7 = 0 Malika Monroe and Kailee Kellum led in attacks each with 12, followed by Lainey Egelhoff with 10.

The Valentine Badger Cross Country team traveled to Ainsworth, Thursday, October 14, 2021, for their district meet. The 5K run on the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course had a 55 degree day with northwest winds at 10-15 mph.

Friday, October 15, 2021, the Badgers traveled to Gordon-Rushville where they lost with a score of 7-42. Scoring by quarters: Valentine - 0, 0, 0, 7 =7 Gordon-Rushville - 3, 32, 7, 0 = 42 Gordon-Rushville scored a field goal in the first quarter.

Matt Sprenger is the new Refuge Manager at Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge. “In addition to managing Fort Niobrara Refuge, I supervise managers at other refuges in the Sandhills area including; Valentine Refuge, Crescent Lake Refuge and Lacreek Refuge in South Dakota.”
