VALENTINE, February 19, 2025 — March is Red Cross Month, and for more than 130 years, heroic American Red Cross volunteers have provided hope and urgent relief to families in communities across the country.

“Overall, I thought our girls wrestled very well. We lost several in the heartbreak round to go to state, but each of those that lost will be back next year. I'm excited for Reegan Eggert to get the opportunity to wrestle at the State tournament!” Coach Marcus Nelson said of the tournaments held February 8, 2025.

Valentine Community Schools is excited to announce Shelly Parks next year’s One Act and Drama Sponsor! Shelly is a 1998 graduate of Valentine High School. She participated in One Act and Speech competitions all four years of high school and was a theatre major her first year of college.

LINCOLN,NE–February7,2025, Governor Jim Pillen announced his appointment of Kurt Arganbright of Valentine to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Arganbright will serve as the representative for District 6. His appointment is subject to confirmation by the Nebraska Legislature.

The Bridge superstructure is built, with the Bridge Deck and Concrete Paving to follow. Current planning has placement of the Bridge Deck mid-March, with the road open to traffic mid-April.
