Richard “Dick” Wayne Tetherow, a true pioneer in agriculture and a devoted family man, passed away on June 5, 2025, in Lincoln, NE. Born December 28, 1939 to Edith and Howard Tetherow in Valentine, NE, Dick’s life was deeply rooted in the land he loved.

Larry James Jones was born March 11, 1944, in Valentine, NE, to Lawrence Edison “L.E.” and Florence Johanna (Knittel) Jones. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Mission, SD, on April 2, 1944. Larry was the youngest of their four children: Elizabeth “ Bet ty Ann” Kalblinger, Loretta Hopkins, and Martin.

Dick Jeffers was born to Earl and Irene (Sears) Jeffers as “Dickie Joe” on March 22, 1935. He passed away on May 26, 2025, at the Cherry County Hospital in Valentine, NE.

Willis Leonard Brown, passed away, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Willis was born May 26, 1932, in Crookston, Nebraska to Carl Grant and Frances Grace (Emerick) Brown, the seventh child of eleven, and the last of five sons. Willis grew up on the family farm along Antelope Creek, located about three miles northwest of Olsonville, Todd County, South Dakota, attended Todd County schools and graduated from Todd County High School in Mission, South Dakota in 1949.

Timothy Gene Fox was the first child born to Donald Gene Fox and Ruth Elaine (Nachtman) Fox on January 11, 1957 in O’Neill, NE. He graduated from Rock County High School at Bassett, NE in 1975. Tim continued his education at Hastings Community College.

Evelyn Nadine Starr was born September 23, 1937, in Eli, NE to Lloyd and Ruth Starr. Evelyn gained her wings on May 11, 2025, at Rock County Long Term Care.

Charles Dorman Whiting was born on February 27, 1949 to Clarence and LaVerne (Frank) Whiting in Winner, SD, He passed away on October 27, 2024 in Lamar, CO at home. Charlie was raised in Hidden Timber until about five years of age, at which time the family moved to Mission, SD.

Doris Adella Sharp Sims passed away May 9, 2025, in Sierra Vista, AZ, at the age of 94. Doris was born June 4, 1930, to Charles Franklin Sharp and Mary Leona Lawrence Sharp on the family farm in Keya Paha County, NE.

David (Dave) Ray Rogers was born on October 8, 1951, to Ray and Dorothea (Wiese) Rogers, in Longmont, CO. He passed peacefully from this life at home on the family ranch northwest of Purdum, NE, Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the age of 73.

Donald Eugene (Gene) Belsky, age 94, was born June 9, 1930, to Guy Alfred and Dorothy Wilma (Young) Belsky, 10 miles south of Merriman, NE. He passed away peacefully May 12, 2025, at the Countryside Care in Gordon, NE. He joined his big brother Robert, who was born in 1928, and Lois joined them in 1932.
