Worker killed, 4 injured in Nebraska ethanol plant explosion

Wood River, (AP) - One worker died and four others were injured in an explosion at an ethanol plant in eastern Nebraska. The explosion was reported Monday afternoon, April 17 at a Green Plains ethanol plant in Wood River, which is about 160 miles west of Omaha.

Stroke by the numbers

Unlike many conditions, stroke is not necessarily linked to aging. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that 38 percent of people hospitalized for stroke in 2014 were younger than 65. Stroke is a leading cause of death for Americans, but stroke risk will vary based on race and ethnicity, among other factors. Blacks are nearly twice as likely to experience a stroke as Whites, and Blacks have the highest rate of death due to stroke, according to the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. As seems to happen every couple of years at this point, Capital Hill is abuzz with discussions of whether the U.S. will default on its debt. In fact, if the debt ceiling isn't raised this summer - potentially as early as June - the U.S. will default for the first time. Huskers welcome back Solich: ‘Staying away only hurt myself’
