Valentine Chapter PEO announces scholarships The Valentine Chapter of P.E.O. is extremely proud to announce the following girls who will receive $1,000 scholarships from the organization.

The Valentine Education Association will be offering a $250 scholarship to a local college student. Applicants must be majoring in education and be a junior or senior in college for the 2023-2024 year.

Grant Opportunities for FFA, SAE and Agricultural Education Classrooms

Lincoln– The Nebraska FFA Foundation is seeking applications for the 2023 Nebraska FFA Foundation Grant Program through June 20, 2023. The grant program, in its seventh year, supports Nebraska agricultural education classrooms, FFA programs and individual student Supervised Agricultural Experiences.

Incidents/Arrests On 04/10/2023 at 3:30 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Cherry Street. A 41 year old South Dakota woman was cited for no operator’s license and a stop sign violation.

Scammers spoofing NSP phone numbers in Grand Island, Lincoln

APRIL 17, 2023, LINCOLN — The Nebraska State Patrol is alerting the public of a scam going around Nebraska this week. Over the last few days, NSP has received multiple reports of scammers spoofing Nebraska State Patrol phone numbers, attempting to scam victims.
