Nebraska’s NRDs advocate for conservation funding amid drought and wildfire concerns

LINCOLN, Nebraska – Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts (NRDs) were represented by nearly 50 directors and staff in Washington, D.C., March 30 to April 1, 2026. Nebraska’s NRDs advocate for strengthening tools to preserve and fund natural resources projects, which includes engaging policymakers from the grassroots level with a unified voice.

Arganbright named Hudl Dance Coach of the Year

Amy Arganbright of Valentine High School has been named the 2026NebraskaCoachesAssociation (NCA)-Hudl Dance Coach of the Year, following back-to-back state championships for her team. She successfully guided her team to Class C2 Jazz and Pom titles in 2026, overcoming significant challenges. The award is part of the 2025- 2026 NCA Coaches of the Year honors.

NACO celebrates National County Government Month in April

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) will celebrate National County Government Month this April with a renewed focus on telling the county story and highlighting the people and services that impact the everyday lives of Nebraskans in all 93 counties. The celebration kicked off April 1 when county officials from across Nebraska gathered at the Capitol to meet with senators, speak with state leaders, learn more about the legislative process, and engage in NACO’s advocacy efforts.

Nebraska State 4-H Robotics results

Cherry County once again competed in the Nebraska State 4-H Robotics competition in Lincoln on March 20-21, 2026. Ryan Adams, Tyson Cochran, and Luke Osnes came home sitting in 18th place in the Robot Games out of 98 teams and received a Rising Star Award.
