Americans say yards are one of the most important parts of their homes

Alexandria, Va. – More than three quarters of Americans who have a yard (76%) say the family yard space is one of the most important parts of their home, according to a new poll commissioned by the TurfMutt Foundation and conducted online by The Harris Poll.

Talking with our eyes

The children who come to our church are always a delight; and they sometimes surprise us with the “funnies” we hear from them. Marcus, two years old, and Rapha, four years old, are sons of Liz and Chris. The family of four made a trip to Virginia to visit their grandparents who adore their grand boys. While they were gone, an important interaction happened between big boy Rapha and his Nana. Though she would be back later, Nana had an appointment that couldn’t be missed. As she went outside to leave, it must have suddenly dawned on Rapha that he needed to ask her a question. He ran out to catch her. His eyes studied Nana’s eyes intently: “But Nana, what if while you’re gone from your house, I want something …and Daddy says ‘No!?’” We anticipate great things from this young man!
