Hello again. We have been talking about building conservation plans. Conservation plans are individual guides that allow producers to envision the future of their operation and provides a pathway to achieve specific goals and objectives of farm and ranch management strategies. Conservation plans are dynamic and progressive as goals and objectives are met.

Lincoln – Attorney General Peterson co-led a nationwide investigation into TikTok for providing and promoting its social media platform to children and young adults while use is associated with physical and mental health harms. Attorneys General nationwide are examining whether the company violated state consumer protection laws that put the public at risk.

The Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) trip housed under the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension program has been a long-standing tradition in Cherry County. Due to challenging current COVID guidelines across the country, the Advisory Board for the 2022 CWF trip, along with participating families, voted to postpone this summer’s trip until the summer of 2023. Because of this change, the Advisory Board is opening registration back up for the 2023 trip to any youth who will be at least 14 years of age by the time of the trip (approximately June 1, 2023). They do NOT need to be involved in 4-H to participate. There are several fund raising options available in the upcoming year that can help youth raise the approximate $3,000 needed for the trip. The CWF program also plans to adhere to the usual schedule for the next cohort, which will participate in a trip in 2025. That means that youth who will be at least 14 years of age by around June 1, 2025, are also invited to start signing up and getting involved with fund raising this summer. LINCOLN, NE (February 21, 2022) - Nebraska Cattlemen requests those who have received a beef draft during the 2021 Nebraska State Fair to use the draft as soon as possible. Beef drafts will no longer be honored after May 1st, 2022. All beef drafts can be used at grocery stores for beef purchases or at restaurants while enjoying a beef meal.

The Horticulture class has put together three tower gardens to grow all sorts of different plants. Tower Gardens are a vertical, aeroponic system that can produce up to 20 plants at a time.
