A Graveside Memorial Service for Kathy Jo Woods age 64 of Pierre, SD will be held at a later date in the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery. Kathy Jo Woods died January 30, 2022 in the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

David Ladely, age 73, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away at home on February 2, 2022. David was born in Valentine on June 8, 1948, the son of Glen and Martha Leah Ladely.

Eilean Lucille (Sharp) Lurz was born February 16, 1936 in Springview to Leonard Lawrence and Margaret Agnes (Kaplan) Sharp. She passed away peacefully January 31, 2022 at Cherry County Hospital in Valentine at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 15 days.

Richard Lee “Dick” Gambill was born to Kyle and Dorothy (Mink) Gambill on March 12, 1936 in Battle Creek. Dick passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth at the age of 85.

James Keith Kreycik, 90, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2022 at his home in Windsor, CO surrounded by family. He was born on May 6, 1931 to Jim and Edna Kreycik on the family ranch near Wood Lake. He was the fifth child of six children.

Thomas Andrew Maddux was born December 30, 1928 to Wilfred and Vera Maddux. He died at North Platte, on January 13, 2022. Tom was a third-generation rancher. He was raised on the Maddux-Brothers Ranch and Feed yard north of Wauneta. In 1947, Tom married Helen Joye Huston. Tom and Helen had four children, Thomas C., Kate, Tammy and Karla.

Mary Gretchen Moss, 83, entered her eternal rest Monday, January 24, 2022 in Hamilton, MT after suffering a serious fall. She was born February 17, 1938 in Valentine, the daughter of Burrell C. Booth and Mary E. Adamson Booth.

Ruth Louise Stevens was born on January 15, 1928, in Hyannis to Ralph and Charlotte (Lottie) Stevens of Ashby. Ruth attended elementary school at the one-room Locust School, at the east end of the valley where she grew up.

Harold J Lurz was born September 26, 1939 north of Valentine to Herbert and Ida (Schulz). He passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at his home in Valentine.
