Mary Louise Parker Shipley was born June 13, 1924 in Winner, SD to Arthur and Martha (Sommerfeld) Parker. Mary was the youngest of nine children. She attended first and second grades in a rural Winner school, then the family moved to the Littleburg Community where she attended the Wade School and Littleburg School.

Hugh Wilber was born to Carl and Gertrude (House) Wilber on April 8, 1929 in Gordon. They moved to Valentine when he was a year old. Hugh attended school in Valentine where he was a player on the 1945 undefeated, unscored upon football team. He graduated in 1947 and attended the University of Nebraska for one year.

Jerry Victor Kennedy, 71, of Gordon left us to be with his son on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

He was born August 22, 1950 in Lewellen to Donald and Lucille (Laing) Kennedy. As a young boy he lived with his family on a ranch near Arthur. Jerry attended Arthur High School where he currently still holds the school records for most points in a game, most points in a season and most rebounds in basketball. He graduated in 1968. In February 1970 he married Patsy Gier in Ogallala. To this union two children were born, Joe and Jerri (JJ).
