Hope Delores Kalblinger, age 95 of Valentine, passed away December 3, 2021 at North Platte Care Center. Hope was born on March 6, 1926 in Valentine to Lawrence and Georgia (Taylor) Engles. She grew up in the area and graduated from Valentine High School.
She was married to Clinton William Kalblinger in 1945. To their union three children were born, William Lawrence, Jeanne Delores and Mark Steven.
Hope was devoted to her family and her faith; extending kindness to all she met. She mastered the art of cooking and leaves behind fond memories to those who have gathered at her table.
Hope is survived by her children, William (Ruth) Kalblinger of North Platte and Mark (Terry) Kalblinger of Valentine; grandchildren, Keesha (Addison) Tolentino, John Kalblinger, Abbey (Nathan) Mulder, Michael (Muriah) Kalblinger and Eric Kalblinger; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton; parents; daughter, Jeanne Delores (Kalblinger) Blaesi; sisters, Wynona Freed and Dorothy Flaugh and brothers, Lyle, Norman and Gene Engles.
Funeral service was held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandoz Chapel of the Pines. Private burial followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Valentine. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was in charge of service arrangements.
