Annual fishing tourney cancelled for 2024

Many, if not all of you, understand the importance of this annual tournament to us in memory of my son and Brian’s brother. There are very few situations in life that would result in us not having the tournament each and every year. One of those is family.

VHS students signed letters of intent

Congratulations to two Valentine High School student-athletes for signing their Letters of Intent to wrestle and golf in college. Ariana Blume signed on to wrestle at Southeast Community College. Kaylee Hanson signed to golf at Morningside.

Cherry County CEA results

Another great year of music, public speaking, and talent was celebrated at the annual Cherry County 4-H Communications and Expressive Arts Contest which was held February 23, 2024. Clinton Albertus judged music/ talent and Celeste Rogers judged speech.

Oahe Hoopla Tournament Champs

Six third graders and one second grader, traveled to Pierre, SD, Saturday, February 17, 2024 to compete in a five team, round robin, third grade basketball tournament. The young team had a strong performance finishing the day with a 3-0-1 record.
