Cody-Kilgore freshmen Aubryanna Schmit and Lilly Ravenscroft continued their season-long success by qualifying for the NSAA State Track and Field during the D2-8 district meet in Sutherland, NE. Schmit qualified in both shot put and discus by winning each event.

Coach Blake Beebout said, “Our coaches are very proud of our track athletes’ performance at Districts. Our girls team was the District Champion, and I can’t remember the last time that has occurred. Our boys team finished third, 8 points out of first. It was a fantastic day for our Track Program. We are excited to watch our State Qualifiers compete at State Track next week, as we are also proud of our seniors, and excited for our underclassmen returning next year.”

The Valentine Track team hosted the Greg Gass Invitational, May 9, 2025. SCOTTSBLUFF - Coaches have been selected for the 2025 West Nebraska All Star Football Game. This marks the 47th year where 2025 football game will be played Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Bearcat Stadium in Scottsbluff. Game time is 11:00 a.m. MST.

Monday, April 28, 2025 two Badgers attended NSAA State Journalism. These girls submitted entries in March and were judged and invited back to receive their the eight medals they were awarded.

Garrett Shadbolt grew up watching his dad chase dreams of saddle bronc stardom, but never had much desire to chase it himself — an interesting admission from the Nebraska native and current No. 7 bareback rider in the world.

The 2025 Norfolk Classic was held on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Valentine qualified several track and field athletes for the Northeast Nebraska Invitational. It was a great day for a track meet, and the Valentine Badgers brought home several medals.
